About Dr. Roxy
Clinical Experience & Training
Dr. Roxy received advanced clinical training at an APA accredited doctoral internship at Northwestern University Counseling and Psychological Services which provided extensive training in working with college and graduate students struggling with a diverse range of presenting problems, mindfulness stress reduction training, eating disorders, facilitating interpersonal process groups, and crisis intervention.
Dr. Roxy participated in a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Santa Monica College’s Center for Wellness & Wellbeing where she continued her advanced training and later served as a clinical supervisor of subsequent post-doctoral fellows. She has also received clinical training at the UCLA Adult Anxiety Disorders Clinic, Job Corps, and Pepperdine Community Counseling Center. Dr. Roxy is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois (071.009967) and California (PSY29264). Dr. Roxy received her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University (accredited by the American Psychological Association). She also has a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Roxy is fluent in English as well as Farsi and is able to both understand and speak the Farsi language informally.
